On Sunday January 8th more than twenty adults and children set off from Burrator Dam. The air temperature was a chilly 2 degrees celcius.
We set off vertically uphill (which was very warming) and followed the old railway line to the edge of the wood. The children were very excited when they found ice on puddles to play with.
Next we followed the leat to Cross Gate and beyond. We had a very short lunch break and were all very excited about a brief flurry of snow.
Our route then took us down to Norsworthy Bridge and through the wood along the edge of Burrator lake and finally back to our cars.
