February 2006 – Plymbridge Woods

On a cool February Sunday a large assortment of adults children and two dogs set off from Plymbridge woods car park along the old tram way towards Boringdon camp. There is a very exciting cutting early on so the party split in to two – those staying outside on the track and those pretending to be trains under the trees. The two dogs had never met before but they seemed to get on very well and provide hours of fun for each other and the children. The gradual uphill track seems endless towards Boringdon Camp, but when we arrived there we had the luxury of pic-nic benches for lunch time. We then wound back down hill and through the trees where we met some amazing stunt-bikers leaping over logs. The track eventually met the weir we saw on the previous Plymbridge walk and we then followed the river back to the car park.
