Walkers should ensure that when walking they have:
* Walking boots or equivalent and waterproof clothing
* A rucksack, suitable for carrying "eats and hot drinks" and spare clothing
* Written details of their name, address and home telephone together with their Doctors Name and contact number.
Walkers should make direct contact with the leader of a walk (see tel no. in the walks programme) if they want additional information on a walk.
Car Sharing
We usually operate a car share scheme for most walks whereby we meet at a location in Plymouth before making our way to the walk start location. This is particularly useful when there is limited car parking space at the walk start.
Some shorter walks may not give the start point on the walks list and on these walks those attending should meet at the car share point. Those for whom it would be inconvenient to come to the car share first should contact the leader to find out where the start point is.
If you do not have your own transport, but can get to the car share point, you may be able take advantage of the car share scheme but you must contact the leader and establish that you can arrange to be reliably met at the car share point and transported to the walk start.
